Upon arrival, you'll have the opportunity to explore the city in a unique way by taking a Heritage Walking Trail. Accompanied by your private guide, you'll cross the Yamuna River to discover the local life and lesser-known monuments that surround the Taj Mahal. Some of the places you'll visit include the Rambagh pleasure garden built by the first Mughal Babar, the Gyarah Sidi (11 Steps) where early Mughals studied star constellations, and the Itimad-ud-Daulah, which are rare remnants of pre-Taj architecture. Your walk will culminate at Mehtab Bagh, where you'll enjoy a stunning sunset view of the Taj Mahal from across the river Yamuna.

Day 4: Agra - Exploring the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort

Today, you'll cross an item off your bucket list by visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Taj Mahal. Commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in loving memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, the Taj Mahal is a stunning example of Mughal architecture. Day 5: Agra to Jaipur - Visiting Fatehpur Sikri en route

Today, you'll embark on a dazzling drive from Agra to Jaipur, with a stop at the abandoned ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri along the way. Constructed during the second half of the 16th century by Emperor Akbar, the "City of Victory" served as the capital of the Mughal Empire for approximately 14 years. The well-preserved complex of monuments and temples reflects the Hindu and Muslim architectural styles of the time, and houses one of the largest mosques in India, the Jama Masjid. After exploring the ruins with your local guide, you'll continue your journey to Jaipur, which should take approximately 6 hours including touring.

Day 6: Jaipur - Exploring Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, and City Palace

Today, you'll explore some of Jaipur's most iconic monuments with your private guide and driver. You'll start the day by visiting the magnificent hilltop Amber Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site surrounded by fortified battlements that overlooks the Maotha Lake. You'll have the chance to explore the sprawling complex of courtyards and halls, with the Sheesh Mahal (hall of mirrors) being a particular highlight. Next, you'll visit Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of the Winds.
